Some minor bugs occurred and have been fixed in this update. Forgot to mention last time, that the music backdrops are fetched from htbackdrops. Finally the update of HomeMedia is finished! A lot of has changed, especially the setup, the Watcher and the usability of the DatabaseManager. A full list of changes can be found below. Since the setup has been changed, there is no extra WMP-less version available, you can choose this during the setup.
Since the next update of HomeMedia takes long, I decided to update the English grabbers for you (ImpAwards and IMDB changed their design).
We created a HomeMedia app for all those who want to use HomeMedia, but don’t want to use our other remotes. You can browse your collection stored in the HomeMedia server program and open the desired media files on the server. See the product site for more information.

The design of the HomeMedia section has been changed! And HomeMedia music database has been added. HomeMedia Movies As before you can browse your movies-collection on your phone by genres or just browse through all movies (at the end of genre-list). Press long on any item to search that list for a specific string.

HomeMedia v1.2.4 has been released. Changelog: Running HomeMedia Service as non-Administrator won’t alert a Windows Dialog any more -> this is only done if the port gets changed, the firewall rules are not set correctly or the user does not have access rights to that namespace (using netsh which means it might not work under Windows
UPDATE: The today newly uploaded version 1.2.2.3 is now capable of configuring the windows firewall itself. If an error occurrs, it will be printed on the screen and you have to do it manually as described in the FAQ. Tell me if anything does not work!
UPDATE: If you experience any problems with the Service (you can’t press any buttons, or it’s very very slow…) either start Windows Media Player once (because in version 1.2.1.1 is a WMP Remote included) or download version 1.2.1.2 which doesn’t have WMP Remote. If the Service doesn’t work, take a look at the error.log file
